About Duchess (west)

Hi, my name is DUCHESS ID#A4366445. I am a female, spayed white and black Mastiff and American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and I weigh about 70 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jan. 9, 2020. From shy to sassy- Duchess has made quite the transformation. She likes hot dogs and toys. Duchess co-existed in her dog evaluation, but she would do best with a calm dog. She needs a patient loving home. Duchess arrived at the shelter alone and afraid of everything and everyone. It took days for anyone to be able to get her out of her kennel. Over time, Duchess has learned to trust people and has transformed into the cutest, confident girl. Duchess is the size of a small horse, with long, lanky legs and gangly gallop. With the personality of a puppy, Duchess is playful and energetic, yet polite. And Duchess has the cutest characteristic; she's smiles! She submissively smiles whenever she gets excited- it's the sweetest thing! Last notes from a volunteer: 3/25/2020 ENRICHMENT Duchess is now used as 'helper' for group assessments. She is very affiliative, walks well on a leash, and does well with all dogs in yard.
