About Petey

Petey is a bouncy 10 month old Shih Tzu/ Lhasa Apso mix looking for his forever home that can keep up with him! He weighs 23.4 pounds may still have a little growing to do. Petey is a socialite and will never turn down a new friend! He is great with men and women, but has never been around children. We think Petey would love dog savvy children that aren't afraid of an energetic puppy! Petey has never lived with another animal and was bitten by a large dog when he was just 7 weeks old. He has been fearful of large dogs ever since but may do well with a playful canine companion his size or smaller. Please bring any potential canine companions to meet with Petey prior to adoption. He was learning how to use a doggy door and walk on a leash. Petey is a smart boy but needs a little bit of help on focusing. He will require training as he adjusts in his forever home. Petey is hypoallergenic and will require regular grooming. While here with AZSDR, Petey received a much needed groom and is feeling as good on the outside as he does on the inside! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450 and includes 30 days of complementary pet insurance and a free vet visit.
