Look at this handsome young man! Everyone meet Cas! Cas is a 5 year old Briard. This sweetheart weighs around 50 lbs and is looking for his forever home. Cas is truly a dog with a big heart and just wants the love that he gives to be returned. He's generally a pretty lazy boy. He spends most of his day sleeping but never passes up the chance to go in the backyard or on any errands. He's content with whatever activities his foster family have planned for him. As long as people are around, he's happy. Cas does really well on leash. Initially he'll try to pull to get to something or somewhere he really wants to go but with minor correction and redirection he's back on track. Cas loves people. He is always very happy to see his foster family and seems most at peace when people are around. He's been very welcoming to any guests that have been in the home. He does very well around other people and their pets when out in public. Cas does have separation anxiety so his forever home will have to be equipped with someone who will take the time to exercise his mind while they're gone. Cas loves all things food so in his foster home they've used things like treat dispensing toys to distribute his food to him throughout the day so he's stimulated. His foster mom is still working on crate training. He doesn't love it but if you give him time to settle he will. They've also been working with him on basic commands and he knows them but can be hard headed. His forever parent(s) will need to be consistent with any and all tricks they want him to learn. He's very smart and can pick things up quickly but he needs that consistency. Cas would strive in a home as an only child. While he doesn't mind other animals or children when he's out and about, he likes for his house to be his own. It is recommended that Cas would do best in a home with no other animals and no small children. If you are interested in giving Cas his forever home please email [email protected] for an application.
