Hazel, Pit Bull mix, 9 months. Working on housebreaking. Hazel was brought into the shelter at a week old because her mother had attacked her. She had 3 skull fractures and other wounds. She is doing very well and those injuries have healed. She has been diagnosed with a neurological problem where the part of the brain did not develop properly. The cerebellum controls the rate of motion and coordinates muscles for normal motion. It is also involved in balance. There is probably no treatment available for this problem. Hazel likes to play and do all the fun things puppies do. She needs a calm home with another dog that is a little smaller than her and that is calm and will be patient with her. A dog door is necessary since she loves to go outdoors and lay in the sun. Courtesy listing. Call Cindy 970-353-1385.
