About MRS. AVERY

Mrs. Avery, like many ladies, is trying to keep her age a secret. We're estimating she's in the 6-8 year old range but when she's outside in the yard, boy does she run her circles with lots of energy. Mrs. Avery is a dainty Yorkshire Terrier (6 pounds) and she came from a dreadful backyard breeding situation where she likely was neglected and caged. She now needs a cage-free life. If you've got a warm bed and blanket for her, you've won some points.... curling up and staying cozy is her favorite thing (for now) but we think in time she'll learn about being playful and may even decide that toys are pretty cool. She's going to need people who will love her no matter what, and will be satisfied if she remains the cozy-only type or with your help she likes to pick up a floppy toy and run -- she needs to be loved and cherished, no matter what. Mrs. Avery definitely needs another little dog sibling. Without a furry friend to cozy with her, she will have anxiety anytime she's left alone -- even for a short while. That said, if you're a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home and isn't going to spend long bursts of time away from home, she would really appreciate this. We recently had a dental done for Mrs. Avery, and because of her years of neglect, she has no teeth --but now she feels great and is happy to eat foods on the softer side, she does just fine. She is also spayed, checks healthy at the vet, is vaccinated and microchipped. She'll also go home with collar and ID tag, harness and leash.
