About Tach

We have a very special situation with TACH... our lab mix!Mr. Tach is an amazing and handsome fella... due to his past (we know he was severely neglected, we don't know what else he endured) we will need a very special adopter! Are you his saving grace who is up for the challenge? Let me explain... Tach loves dogs, will play all day if you let him! He is young (approx 2 years) and gets very attached to his people. He is very eager to learn and loves his treats. He is house trained and kennel trained. However, we have learned that he can startle easily during his first week or two in a new place. Especially when waking up with a new face near his. (Can't blame him). This can prompt him to nip and release. Since he's a bigger boy, this can leave a mark, so it's advised not to allow him to sleep close to your face until he feels safe in your home. Under no circumstance can he go to a home with children. Must be all adults. He plays well with kids, but his nipping issues when waking up in new places have been with kids. Fence is a must as he is protective of his home and family. He will need a good 2-4 weeks to decompress and get used to his forever home, new environments make him very anxious. Tach is incredibly sweet, goofy, playful, and loving, especially after he feels safe. He really likes having a kennel to go to when he's feeling anxious or wants to sleep. Throw a ball for him and he'll be your new best friend. He's been waiting for a forever home for 6 months. He's a great companion/comforting dog for other dogs who are scared!
