About Grayson

ADOPTION PENDING Little Grayson is an adorable Yorkie/Chi mix. He, and his sister Gracie, were owner surrendered when the landlord said, 'no dogs!' So off to the shelter Grayson and Gracie go. They arrived on Nov. 16, 2019. Grayson is a sweet, yet scared little dog. He and Gracie huddle together for comfort as they learn what being homeless is all about. Grayson weighs only nine pounds. He's five months old. Grayson is mostly house-trained. He likes other dogs and people of all sizes and ages. We haven't yet tested him for cats, but will do so for potential adopters. Grayson is a great traveling companion. He enjoys car rides and loves being with his people. His tiny size enables him to go anyplace that dogs are welcome. He's cute-as-a-bug and would make for an excellent companion. If you're looking for your new bestie, come meet Grayson. While he and Gracie can be separated, you might find yourself falling for both of them. Grayson will be neutered, fully vetted and microchipped before going home. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Thurs and Fri 1-4 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sun 1-4 pm.
