About Baloo

Are you ready for a big fur ball? He is a six year old fluff but going on two. He has energy galore but if you are home he is happy to follow you around and do some snuggling. His energy makes him have a desire to play with other dogs. He plays really husky rough so he has not been tested at a dog park. He should not be allowed to play with aggressive dogs, including fear aggression. He will fight back. His energy level also helps him find mischief to get into. He would be best with another dog at home, indoor-outdoor access and humans that are not gone too much. He tends to be slightly resource aggressive such as growling. I do not leave him alone with treats. If your dog wants to take something from Baloo then Baloo May lash out. This is improving but needs close monitoring. He is potty trained if he has access to the yard. He is crate trained but sleeps through the night on his own and prefers to sleep right next to the bed. He does well on a leash but is still skittish to loud or unexpected sounds so should not be walked by young or inexperienced people. This is improving and I expect it will resolve with time. He does have a sensitive stomach. He eats with an elevated bowl and takes Prilosec daily. The vet does not have any suspicion for any underlying disorder...just a sensitive stomach. Baloo is a wonderful guy and is going to make a great companion.
