About CARL

SAY HELLO TO CARL ! Carl is a very sweet 8 year old buff coated Brussels Griffon / Cocker Spaniel mix boy. Weighing in at 15 pounds, Carl came to us through no fault of his own. Sadly, the only world he has ever known was turned upside down when he was surrendered to us by family after his owner suffered a massive stroke and died. Carl might do best as an only dog in the home although he has been exposed to many other dogs in our rescue. He can be selective and does better with females. Though he has had a difficult time adjusting to his new life, he is really coming around! He is the first to greet visitors and will snuggle up with them the second they sit on the couch. He just loves the attention shown to him! This little man really deserves to live out the rest of his life in a loving home. He loves to sleep on the back of the couch at his foster's home and look out the windows. Carl is starving for attention and affection and will give back to you ten fold! He is just SO sweet and after being so lost when he arrived, we want him to have not only a stable, kind, quiet home but also a yard to run and play in as Carl is very agile and will be as active as you ask him to be. Carl is a little nervous with changes and currently with car rides but this is likely because he rarely traveled in the car except to vet and grooming appointments. Carl seems to be well house trained although accidents when acclimating to his new family's routine could occur. He is very bright and once shown your family's routine, he will be just the perfect gentleman. Carl uses a dog door when supervised and was used to going out of an arcadia door that was left ajar in his former home, so he will need to learn to 'ask' to go out in a new home. Carl has no health issues other than needing a professional dental cleaning which he has had. Carl is a medium coated breed who will require brushing as well as professional grooming every 3 to 4 months. Carl adoption fee is $ 300.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, a professional dental cleaning and basic labs, de-worming, pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with a lifetime membership. Carl will have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
