About Calypso

They don't come any sweeter than Calypso! This 4-year-old Rat Terrier mix is attentive, affectionate, and really nicely behaved. He meets new people with enthusiasm and friendliness. And he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. 'Cal' came to rescue terribly underweight and is enthusiastically tackling the job of putting on a couple pounds, hoping to end up around 18 lbs. or so. He is active and alert, ready at the drop of a hat to accompany you wherever you might want to go and to do whatever you might require of him. He learns new things very quickly and is already a master at sitting on command and coming when called. At bedtime he goes into his crate on his own, sleeps there peacefully all night long, and waits quietly in the morning while you get ready for the day. His house manners are excellent and he is reliably house-trained. He loves to romp, play, and take walks on leash, but his favorite thing of all is just being near you or on your lap, cuddling and getting pats.
