About Foster Needed- Fred

Fred- Fred is a nice 25 lb. little mixed breed fellow who has traveled to IL and found himself to be Heartworm positive. He is looking for a quiet home with children that are older (teens or older) and a family that has dog experience. He will be looking for a place to hang out for about 2 months while he goes through his Heartworm treatment and then he will be available for adoption. He is also available for our Foster to Adopt program. This program allows you to be the family that greets him when he arrives in Illinois. Foster to Adopt families have the first option to adopt if you determine this is the pup right for you! While you foster, we pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collars, and toys. Your family provides love (something he desperately needs!) and a safe place to lay her head until he finds his forever home. We also require that you have the ability to take the pup to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, Geneva, South Elgin, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in Geneva, South Elgin, and North Aurora. Fostering is the most life giving thing you can do for a dog or puppy! It is a very rewarding experience that will make a huge impact on their life. By becoming a foster you are saving 2 lives - the animal you bring into your home while he or she waits to be adopted, and the animal who gets to take your foster's place in the shelter.
