About Kabob

Adoption Fee: $275
Lab / Pointer
Age: Young Puppy

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. An Interview With Kabob: When I grow up, I'll be? A big boy, but probably still think I am a lap dog. Best friend? Currently it's the little human who lives at my foster house (he lets me give him kisses so I follow him around all day). I also really like to play with the big dog that lives here too It's Friday Night, what are your plans? A walk, some play time and then curling up watching a good movie before retiring to my crate to bed. Favorite season? Summer - fun times playing in water! Favourite place? The comfy bed here that the big dog lets me share Favourite Food? I love food - it's the best. I am a gobble guts! Favourite Toy? I like toys I can chew. I also learned a new game they called 'fetch'. Short term goals? I want to learn more of these 'tricks'. When I sit and lay down, I get told I am a good boy (and sometimes I get treats), so I want to learn more things. Some notes from Kabob's foster: We haven't had Kabob at our place for very long, but he has been a wonderful house guest so far. He sleeps all night in his crate without a peep (and with no accidents) and when he gets tired he will ask to go in there to get away from our more active dog. He is very smart and picking up things quickly - sitting for his food, sitting, down and leash walking - so we think he should be easy to train. He likes to play with our bigger male dog, but appears to like humans more than dogs. He has been really good with our one year old - who thinks he is funny and refers to him as 'dog dog'. He is doing well with working on doing his business outside - he is still a little guy, so needs frequent trips outside to ensure no accidents. Kabob is a Male Lab / Staffordshire Terrier Mix that was born around 3/14/2019 and currently weighs about 25 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/k9_angels_rescue_adoption_process.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian. Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue.
