***RESCUE ONLY*** HIGH PREY DRIVE...Killed a small dog at shelter. Meet Hondo! Hondo is a male, 1 year old, Anatolian Shepherd. He is underweight at 118 pounds. Hondo arrived at the shelter as a transfer from a shelter in Utah. He is a sweet boy! Hondo arrived at the Utah shelter as an owner surrender due to biting the neighbor that was throwing rocks at him. His family loved him very much, but felt they could not provide a safe environment from the torment of the people that lived next door. Hondo lived with children and did great with them. He is extra large though and could easily knock over small kids. He will require a home with kids 8+ years old. He is house trained. He would love a home where he is allowed to live indoors with his people. He will also need a secure containment area. Hondo has done well with larger dogs, but will need a home without small animals. He has some weight to gain, but good groceries should help him put on weight quickly. He is smart! Training will be fun, quick and rewarding. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be important for him. * UTD ON VACCINES * MICROCHIPPED * WILL BE NEUTERED BEFORE HE GOES HOME
