About Murphy

Hi I'm Murphy!!! I'm a long legged, 70 lb. hunk with big paws, big nose, and a hairy chest, who loves to go on long walks and hanging out on the couch to be near you. If I'm your man, call me on my mobile below. My background: At 4 years old I found myself homeless near 8th Ave and Stapley in Mesa and then the county dog catcher found me - RATS!!! My work-from-home foster rescued me from worse than death (the county shelter) beginning of Feb. I was so scared I wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, and just shook with fear and was labeled a 'project dog' by County (A lot they know). I've come along way. My Terrier side helps me be friendly when I see other dogs on my walks and my Wolfhound side just helps me be a big guy - my back is 24 inches off the ground. I might even have a little Chow since I have a few things about me that are definitely Chow. I don't react to my foster's smaller yappie dogs but I would never lower myself to be like them. I like to do some running in the park, but of course chasing wild bunnies is the best. I'm pretty laid back around the house when it's just me and my foster during the day but I will protect you from deliveries and door bell ringers with a few deep barks. My therapist says I have trust issues and it takes a while for me to not be suspicious of you. If you and everyone in your home can be patient for me to warm up, I will invite you into my trusted inner circle and I will be the most loyal and regal dog you have ever had.
