About Ollie

Looking for a dog who is equally onboard for an adventurous mountain hike or an afternoon spent curled on the couch? We've got the pup for you! Ollie is a sweet, cuddly and insanely athletic 8 year old, Wire Fox Terrier Mix. She LOVES going for walks, runs, and hikes, but is also perfectly content spending the day curled up on the couch in your lap or by your side. Her favorite thing to do is sit on her haunches and hold paws with whatever human is closest, which is hilarious and impressive. She really loves playing with toys on her own but is definitely down for a game of tug of war as well. She is house trained and knows most other commands (sit, touch, come, etc.). She's super smart and task-oriented, so we've been working with her on some other fun training exercises as well. She's in great health (we just had her teeth cleaned in Jan 2019) and excellent physical shape (she loves to run!). She has a bit of generalized anxiety (loud noises, etc.), but since starting a low dose of Prozac this fall we've seen a huge improvement in her comfort levels. We adopted her in August 2018 as a companion to our 10-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Tom, after our other dog passed away. We've completely fallen in love with her and 99% of the time she is SUCH a joy, but unfortunately, she and Tom don't get along very well and it doesn't feel fair to either dog to keep them in this situation. We're completely heartbroken to say goodbye and want to find her a loving, fun home!
