About Blue

Blue has been a beloved member of our family; however we have 4 young children that are always home and we just don't have much time for him because of his behaviors. He is 9-10 months old. He is VERY smart, can be sweet, and is wonderful when we take him camping and are all together with him. He learned the commands 'sit,' 'stay,' and 'come' on the first day we taught him. We didn't continue teaching him commands. He LOVES to be around us and other people. He did well with other dogs when he was a few months old, but we haven't taken him around other dogs since then. He's been exposed to cats & chickens. He does well with older children, as long as they can handle his jumping and mouthing. When he's currently working on a command, he doesn't jump or mouth... At home, he jumps on us (including the 2 year old) and is VERY mouthy. We had one meeting with a trainer and she said that we'd done a very good job at teaching him to have a 'soft mouth.' He chews, digs, and acts out if he doesn't get enough attention.
