Princess (calico pictured) and her brother Boots (black tuxedo male) are about 10 years old (June 2018). There were abandoned at a foreclosed house whose owner was going into hospice care. A concerned citizen heard of the situation and grabbed them off the porch fearing they would run away or be unadoptable in a shelter because of their age. In his foster home, Princess will approach for pets and when done will she'll find a spot to wash and nap. She likes to sit on the sofa near her foster mom or seek out a place to sunbathe. Princess and Boots (also listed) are a bonded pair that need to stay together. They have not been around children yet but get along great with the other house cats and a respectful large German Shepherd. She's a more petite cat compared to her brother's bigger frame. She recently had her teeth cleaned so she's ready to go to a home. Contact Debbie at 630-808-6235 for more information and to meet Boots and Princess. ADOPTION FEE FOR CATS OLDER THAN A YEAR ARE $25 OR $40/PAIR DURING AUGUST'S CLEAR THE SHELTER ADOPTION EVENT.
