About Ace

This guy had a sad start but we know he will end up with his happily ever after. Ace was found with 2 canine siblings abandoned in horrible conditions. They were left with no regular access to food or water and were living in filth. Ace and his buddy were very emaciated and had a skeleton appearance. Ace was so near death that he was having neurological symptoms and could barely balance and control his movements. Sadly, his friend's condition worsened and he could not recover. We are hopeful the case will be prosecuted and justice will be served. No living being should be treated this way. Ace was quickly given regular, frequent small meals and in just over two weeks, he has a much better appearance as pictured. Ace was 16 pounds the day he was rescued, and currently weighs about 28 pounds. The vet estimates him to be 6 months old and believes his adult weight will be around 30 pounds. pounds. He is now his ideal weight. We guess him to be a slender mix of breeds including something like Italian Greyhound and pit mix. This little survivor is a doll. You can find him curled in a small ball close to his person on the couch or in a cuddled up dog pile with his canine friends. He is crate trained and working on house training. Given his history, he has come along way, but he still has occasional accidents. He loves other dogs and we are requiring a dog buddy in the home. Ace would probably do fine with felines and would be great with children as well. Since Ace loves to snuggle he would love to share his human's bed at night. He is quiet in the home and does enjoy running in a fenced yard. He is a quick learner and is very food motivated. He will make an excellent, petite little companion for a loving family. Ace likes to dance and jump around when you talk to him in a squeaky voice. We kinda love that. Ace is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
