OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Oh hey! Wanna cuddle? Wanna smile? My name is Dobson and I'm a Havanese/Jack Russell Terrier mix and am about 3 years old. I'm about the sweetest guy you'll ever meet and I just want to cuddle, cuddle, cuddle and smile, smile, smile! I've been stuck in an outdoor animal shelter for a little while, but now I'm living the good life in a foster home! Foster life is great but I think the onl y thing that would be better is getting a forever family of my own. Let me tell you about myself! I'm about 15 pounds and a complete gentleman. I have these beautiful brown eyes and foster mom says the way I look at her makes her 'swoon'...whatever that means. I'm in a house with a bunch of other dogs and they can be a bit ornery. It doesn't bother me a bit and I just leave them alone. I'm pretty laid back and since I'm already an adult, you don't have to worry about me chewing on things I shouldn't or running around like a crazy puppy. I sleep through the night in a crate with my foster sister and am totally crate trained. I have yet to potty in the house but, like I said before, I've been in an outdoor shelter for a while so learning all this 'house' business could take a little bit of time. Honestly, if I could just hang out with you all day, I'd be really, really happy!! In fact, people make me so happy, I just have to smile. Any time one of my foster parents pick me up, gives me a cuddle, or just pets me in the right spot...I can't help but bust out a cheesy grin. My pearly whites are on point and I just want to make sure you know how much I appreciate you. You should come see me this weekend at the Adoption Center! Let's see if we can make a connection! PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/k9_angels_rescue_adoption_process.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
