Hey all, my name is Tessie and I am a sweet, mature lady in need of a home where I can spend the autumn of my life. I am about 11 years old and 38 lbs. My legs are pretty short so I won't be leaping any fences. I am a friendly gal who is happy to make new friends, human and canine. I like to ride in the car with my head in the wind, go for walks and putter around the yard. For an 11 year old, I still have a lot of pep in my step. I just got checked out by the vet and am in good health. Up to date on vaccines, negative for Heartworm disease, spayed and microchipped, I am ready to enjoy my retirement years. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
