About Meredith

Meet sweet Meredith. Who can resist those beautiful eyes! Meredith is a 4 year old miniature Dachshund who came to us from a hoarding situation. She gets along great with all the dogs in her foster home. We noticed she especially likes to play with puppies. She loves to go outside and hunt for lizards and bugs. She likes one of her doggie buddies to be out there with her so if she has a chance to go to a home with a furry friend, that would be great. We are not sure how she is with cats. Meredith is small, about 9 pounds, and thus would need supervision with children. She plays and plays and then she is ready to get in your lap, give kisses and get some lovin'. If there's a pillow and some blankets around, she likes to root and get it just right. Meredith had an infection on top of her head which caused a big bump. She didn't like the looks of that at all, so we had it removed and now she's almost totally healed and back to her beautiful self. Meredith might be a little shy for a day or two but will quickly warm up to you. Like most Doxies, she can be a little stubborn. She's very treat motivated--just give her a piece of chicken! Meredith is not housebroken or puppy pad trained. She will do best with someone who can take her out several times a day. Due to her past life, we do not want Meredith to be in a home where she would be kept in a crate with a closed door. She likes to sleep in her own bed at night (with lots of blankies!). Meredith is heartworm negative and microchipped. She is a sweet, loving little girl and will bring a lot of love and laughter to her new family.
