About Duke

Meet Duke. This sweet Blue Nose American Staffordshire Terrier is 3 years old. He is a little guy and just wants love and affection. He will fit into any home beautifully. We just broke him out of the shelter where he was the longest resident there, having been there since early February. Duke is a love. He came into the shelter with facial lacerations due to breaking a wood fence. We have had him treated at the vet for the lacerations. He was temperament tested with three other dogs and he showed no signs of aggression. However, we have had him in other situations such as adoption events where there were many animals and lots of stimuli and he can get scared and guarded. He did not like being with other animals in that situation. He does very well one on one. He is affectionate and likes to be with his human. He is also housetrained and can be left alone for a few hours. He doesn't have an anxiety and therefore doesn't need to be crated if left alone. This boy has been through the ringer. He is a doll.
