About Dixie Belle

Dixie Belle is a sweet 11 yr old yellow lab. She's not a big eater so she's small. She's been a great dog for our family since she was several months old. But she needs more attention than what we can give her now. She's not been around many other animals and we have mostly kept her outside.She has been around many kids and is great with them.As she has gotten older, she has become more anxious being alone outside. She is fearful/anxious of loud lawn mowers, thunder and lightning, fireworks, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. She does well inside, mostly likes to just lay next to where people are. She has not had any accidents when we have had her inside. But we can't keep her inside and our kids are grown and not home much anymore. We are in and out a lot with work, so she isn't getting the companionship she needs. We would love for her to find a home with someone that either has kids or someone that can be home with her. She just needs a companion that can be with her.She is not as anxious when she is with people.
