My name is Finley. I am 6 months old. Yes, I have sky blue eyes and silky white fur! My story started really sad. My mommy was 11 years old when she got pregnant, too old to have puppies, but she did it and I was born with 3 other male siblings. My mommy's owner couldn't care for us and all of us ended up at a shelter in North Carolina. We were really scare, we had never had human contact, we were feral. Some people at Husky Haven of Florida, heard our story and decided they would bring us down to Florida. They said they would help us overcome our fears, so that we can find a home to call our own. I have been in foster care for a little over a month now and I am doing fantastic. So fantastic that I am now searching for my furever home. I am 80% housebroken, crate trained, LOVE other pups, and really love my humans once I trust them. I like to sleep in my parent's beds, I find comfort in their warmth. Please don't expect me to be cuddly and kissy, I do get there, with time, patience, and perseverance. One thing I can tell you is that I am worth it! Once I know you, you are my person, you are my family, and I will forever be grateful. Due to the fact I was feral when I came to Husky Haven, I will require another dog friend in my new home. I will also only be adopted to someone who owns their home. You see, change is scary for me, and moving around a lot wouldn't be a good thing. It would most likely set me back each time. It would really be best if my new family has husky experience, or at least experience with scared dogs like myself. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $350.00 I do have some special requirements for my adoption, due to me being feral, that will be discussed if you decide to make me part of your family. Please understand we are a volunteer based organization so we cannot set a timeline on application review, however, we work hard to process as fast as we can. All of the questions regarding the available pets and their personalities can be found in this bio. Many times we get asked for additional photos. We DO NOT have any additional photos other than the ones posted on our website and we try to be as accurate as we can in each pet's bio. Please read each bio carefully, all information that we know is there. If it's not there we do not know the answer just yet or may never know the answer. Many of these dogs come to us with a history unknown. Additionally, all of our dogs are in foster homes. We DO NOT have a shelter or physical location. The dogs are in private homes with families. Therefore, you must have an approved application prior to setting up a meet and greet. Finally, thank you for your interest in adoption. Your application is KEY. Many times, we find the dog applied for by the applicant might not be the best fit for their family. We will then suggest another dog if available that will be better suited.
