About Dallas

Dallas is a smart, spunky, funny 4 year old Shiba Inu/terrier mix with a gorgeous red color and a foxy face. A few years ago, we transferred Dallas in from an open access facility where he came in as a stray. He was adopted, but sadly his family felt they weren't home enough to spend time with Dallas. Dallas is an active, affectionate guy who's always looking for something to investigate. He loves going for walks and running around in the yard. Dallas is pretty nervous since he's arrived back at the shelter, and he does best in environments where he can set the pace. If you let him come to you, he's opens up into an affectionate guy who will jump in your lap and give you kisses! He gets too stressed if people pressure him too much right away, so patience is key! Dallas is good with some other dogs, though he can be bossy with them. Dallas is looking for a home that wants a dog they can devote themselves to and help heal the trauma of being back at the shelter. He'd prefer an older home with kids over 12 and no cats.
