Hi, my name is Riley! If you are looking for a wonderful dog, look no further! It's me! I am happy, sweet and loving. I am in a foster home with other dogs and kids and a cat and I get along well with everyone! I think I am about 5-6 years old and I weigh about 35 pounds. Even though I'm one of the best dogs in this adoption program, it will probably take awhile for me to get adopted because I am a hound. Let me show you that hounds make wonderful pets! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all volunteer, foster based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, Va every Saturday. $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive exte.nsive medical care such as dentals and major surgeries.
