About Suki

After almost losing her eye, Suki has mended and is ready to start the search for her new home! Suki is around five years old, house trained, spayed, heart worm negative and on prevention. She has chronic dry eye that MUST be treated daily for the rest of her life with prescription medications as well as lubricated with over the counter eye moisturizers as directed by the veterinarian. She loves people and is very easy in the home; however, she will need to be the only dog and her adopter will need to be prepared to help her learn to walk nicely on a leash using positive training methods. Suki skipped the 'Walking Nicely on a Leash' class and opted instead for the 'Fun in Wading Pool & Dirt' class. Dog parks, play dates and social gatherings are NOT on her list of things she enjoys. Instead she would like her very own people to cuddle on the couch with, hang out in the backyard for bbq's (pool and dirt are negotiable), and learn how to go for a nice walk. Financial assistance with her eye medications is available should it be a hardship for her adopter, and we are happy to discuss the details with an adopter that is a great match for Suki.
