Meet Josie, a 1-5 year old, female, Husky mix, who is currently at the high kill SEAACA shelter, in Downey, California and is code red, meaning she is on the list to be euthanized simply because the shelter is full. Josie gets along well with other dogs, as she has been kenneled with other dogs. There is a rescue who is willing to save Josie's life but they cannot do it without a foster (temporary home) and or adopter (permanent home). Fostering is free as the rescue provides all of the necessities while the dog is in foster care including paying for medical expenses, grooming and food.
