About Lucy

Our very 1st 'Teddy Bear' dog is looking for a forever home! Meet Lucy....a purebred house and crate trained 11 month old, 15 lb Shih-tzu/Bichon mix who is not only adorable, but also sweet, friendly, and lots of fun. Her current mom is a senior citizen who does not have a backyard, and she has realized that Lucy deserves more than she can give, as she can't keep up with an energetic puppy. She says, 'Lucy is a love and probably the most loyal companion I've ever had (and I've had dogs my entire life.) She greets you every day as if it's Christmas morning! She is a docile and loving girl who is always ready for a good game of fetch or tug of war with a sock. Lucy is very much a people pup - she sleeps with me at night, loves to be held, and seems sad if left alone for a long period of time. These are the little things to realize about her, but they are important.' No one is perfect and (yes, a bit gross!) Lucy has a tendency to eat her poop, so her poop needs to be picked up right away. PLEASE NOTE: We're looking for a home ON LONG ISLAND where Lucy will have someone around during the day, as well as another friendly pup to keep her company.
