About Sterling and Ford

Adoption Fee: donate
Alaskan Malamute / Siberian Husky
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Let us tell you about this bonded sweet pair. This is told by his current owner and in first and third person. %A0%A0The Male is named Ford. He is 4 years old (almost 5). He's an Alaskan Malamute/Husky/Shepherd mix. He is neutered and weighs about 80lbs. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. Great with adults/kids. He walks on a leash and does basic commands. He is not a barker but howls with sirens or other dogs on occasion. He loves the outdoors. Hiking, biking, beach, snow. He loves to ride in the car. Even on long road trips he is well behaved. He is accustomed to living indoors/outdoors. He is in great health. He is great with other dogs and loves the dog park. He is mostly a lounger especially during the summer but amps up the energy for walks, or games of fetch. He will dig in dirt only and usually by the fence line. I put bricks around my fence to deter him. A standard 6-8 foot fence should keep him in fine. His best friend is his sister. They are inseparable. Her name is Sterling. She is 6. She is a Husky/Malamute mix. She weighs about 70 lbs and is spayed. She is great with adults and kids. She doesn't bark but does the usual husky talking when she has something to say. She walks on a leash and rides in cars. Mostly she loves to lay in the sun or hide in a bush or under a tree if it's too warm. When I began fostering her I noticed she had some film over her eyes. I took her to the vet and the vet said she has some damage to the eye. Further tests concluded it doesn't hurt her, it is not getting worse and she can still see just, not 100%. Otherwise, she is in good health. I notice subtly that she has some vision problems but she gets around fine. I have loved having these guys and wish they could live with me permanently but unfortunately, due to a housing situation, it did not work out. They are wonderful animals and I pray someone else will get to enjoy them the way I have.%A0 %A0Please contact us here at Doggie Bonez and we will pass on the information.%A0 %A0Fill out an application to start the process.
