About Cider

Urgent! Cider needs a foster or adopter so her life can be spared. She is at a high kill shelter that is full and dogs are being killed. Cider can be described as sugar and spice and everything nice! She is playful and loving - ready to give you a bunch of kisses. She knows the commands sit and down. She has also been introduced to a group of children and did AMAZING! Even with the children that were initially scared of big dogs, they could not resist her! Unfortunately, no cats for her. Cider has had a horrible first 6 years of life. She was neglected in her old home where she sat in her own urine and feces until the police came and seized all of the dogs living there and brought them to the shelter. There she sat for 6 months as property, while her owner was taken to court. The court decided she won't be going back to her prior home, a feces-filled home with no food or water given on a regular basis. She is now able to leave the shelter, but she needs a home to go to! Please save her life before it's too late. Fostering is free of charge and everything is provided within a 90 mile radius of Chicago. Volunteers are willing to help with transport.
