Meet Maggie! Maggie is 1 year old and weighs 14 lbs. We believe she is a Chihuahua and Corgi mix. She came into PPR from a shelter in Kentucky as an owner surrender. The shelter was over-loaded, so she was transported to Puppy Pals Rescue. Since her arrival, she has been spayed, updated on all her vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tested (both results negative) and micro-chipped. Maggie has a sweet disposition. She really enjoys her foster dad's lap for taking long naps and watching TV. She gets along with the other dogs here at her foster home. She seems to share toys and has no signs of aggression. (We don't know how she is with cats - there are none in her foster home.) It would be nice for her to be adopted into a home with another dog for companionship. She seems to do well on car rides. Maggie is learning to master leash walking and doing well. She enjoys being outside with the other foster dogs running around and chasing one another. We are working on her potty-training. She's not quite there and will need patience and continued reinforcement. Maggie seems to do fine with children. We would prefer them to be 5+ and have been around dogs and know how to treat them. We prefer that she have a fenced-in yard, because we feel it would help with her potty-training and provide safety/security from running off. Maggie seems to adjust very well and with some love and patience she'd be a perfect companion for someone. She is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. Maggie is ready for her forever home.
