Turbo is a 4-year-old neutered male. He was purchased from a breeder and welcomed into our home when he was 7 weeks old. Turbo is my second Mal. Our first (Brooks) passed away at 13 years of age. Turbo is a well-behaved dog. He is however flighty. We discovered about a year ago that he is gun shy and not very fond of loud noises. He trembles and does whatever he can to remove himself from the noises. He has progressively gotten worse. We have a large back lot with an electric fence that he never crosses (even without his collar). It's to the point now that he almost refuses to go into the yard to use the bathroom, play or exercise. There is a section of woods behind the lot where neighbors practice shooting targets (every day, all day). Therefore, it is difficult for us to exercise Turbo or take him out to use the bathroom. He is terrified. He has started to become a bit defiant and is losing his re-call skills. Turbo knows all basic commands. He sits, lays, stays, gives a paw, heals, walks well on a leash, sits and waits for a command to enter a doorway, etc. He is completely house trained as well as crate trained. He spends a few hours a day in his outside kennel (which he is not fond of). He does bark in the kennel but goes willingly. He is a needy dog. He's by our side wherever we go. It truly breaks my heart to have to give my dog away. Euthanizing him is a very last resort for me. I really don't want to have to do that! I have called rescue's all over the United States to try and place him with a handler that knows his breed. I haven't had any luck. I am willing to travel anywhere to get him to the right people. This has totally devastated our family and left us to make this horrible decision. I only want what's best for Turbo. He deserves to be able to run and play without fear. Please, if you can help, give me a call on my cell phone at 302-841-7999. I am located in southern Delaware. Eagerly waiting for a reply, Jamie Webb
