About Joey

Joey is a 9 year old, 8 pound Chihuahua. He was surrendered by his owner who is no longer able to care for him and give him the attention he needs. He is housebroken, up to date on shots, Heart Worm negative and microchipped. He loves to snuggle with his human and is never happier than when he is in your lap. He is a very sweet boy that loves everybody but is especially happy when hanging with the guys. He also likes to dress up for special occasions. He likes kids but prefers them to be older and more laid back, like he is, so would do best with a family that has no young children. He loves to drive around in the car and go shopping to the hardware store or the pet store with his foster mom. She has also taught him to pray with her at night before bedtime. He is good with other dogs but likes them best when they are closer to his size. He doesn't really play with other dogs and can be a bit of a loner in that sense, so would not be suitable as a companion for another dog that needed an active playmate, but he'd be great company for an older dog. He's not interested in cats and generally keeps out of their way. Overall, he's a chill little guy that's never happier than when he is hanging out with his favorite human.
