About Rocky

Rocky was surrendered to the Miami-Dade animal shelter just before hurricane Katrina hit Florida last August. Knowing the fate that awaited him in the shelter we rescued him and brought him to our senior Labrador sanctuary in the hope of finding his forever home. Rocky is a wonderful gentle giant that moves in slow motion but has no problem chasing tennis balls or other toys that are thrown for him. He would make a wonderful best friend for someone that has some time to spend just letting him know that he is loved. He loves to go bye byes or is happy to just lay beside you and watch TV. He does play fetch with those of our pack that still do but he would probably do better as an only dog. Rocky is 9 years old, heartworm negative, up to date on all of his shots and does not appear to have any hip or joint problems.
