This one year old is very confident, cool, friendly, optimistic, adventurous, resourceful, and loyal. She loves having fun, adventures, and, importantly, friends. She has many hobbies, such as rolling on her back, water drinking, snow-frolicking, toy shopping, listening to music, and most of all playing. Polly has a fun-and-cool fashion style. She loves to play with other dogs. She is also part of our Heartworm Heroes program as she has tested positive for Heartworm disease. She is still adoptable, and not infectious to dogs who are on heartworm prevention. She will need someone who can administer daily pills for a short duration and monthly chewies, which the shelter will provide. toward the end of her treatment Polly will need rides to the vet for appointments and injections, but it won't last forever--once testing negative, Polly will be heartworm free for good! A small speed bump to an otherwise fruitful life! Staff available to assist. You can walk on the trails and interact in the play yards. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if your dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks.
