Lois Labrador Retriever Mix Grants Pass, OR Young Female Large Black About CHARACTERISTICS active, social, outgoing, playful, friendly COAT LENGTH Medium HEALTH Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered. GOOD IN A HOME WITH Other dogs, children. Meet Lois We have a very special guest who is awaiting her new home. Meet...Lois! Lois came to us after Critical Pet Rescue responded to a posting in a Facebook community group, asking for help. The dog had terrible skin condition, that had been left untreated, and although the story of where she came from became unclear, one thing was clear: she had no where to go. Here at the shelter, we were able to determine that we think she is about 1 year old. She weighs 60lbs and appears to be a lab mix of sorts. Lois was taken to the vet and treated for Demodex, a type of parasitic mange in which tiny mites lives in the hair follicles on the dog. Just look at her now! Although it will take some time for the hair and color to come back, there is nothing holding Lois back from finding her furever home. She is not infectious to other dogs or people. Lois is quite the spunky girl, with an happy-go-lucky attitude and an eagerness to please. She's hoping for a family to call her own! Lois is friendly with other dogs, but exuberant, so she does well with tolerant dogs, or dogs who match her energy level. She is very social and outgoing with people! She'd love to be someone's running or hiking partner and wants to take part in all of the adventures! Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter 1420 Brookside Blvd. Grants Pass, across from the Grants Pass Airport. 541 474-5458 When calling please press option 0. Hours open to the public 10 am - 4 pm. Up to date on shots, spayed or neutered and mirco chipped. You are encouraged to make every effort to visit the shelter for a meet and greet. Staff available to assist. You can walk on the trails and interact in the play yards. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if your dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks. So please, if you have a dog, please arrange to bring for a meet and greet.
