GOOD IN A HOME WITH Other dogs, children. Meet Shania Man, I feel like a doggy! Meet Shania! This sweet senior is quite the catch. She is between 10 and 12 years old and weighs 53lbs. Shania is a puppy in an older body--she has happy, dancey feet and loves everyone she meets. She is easygoing, but don't count her out as decrepit just because of her age: this girl has spunk!! Shania is also part of our Heartworm Heroes program as she has tested positive for Heartworm disease. She is still adoptable, and not infectious to dogs who are on heartworm prevention. She will need someone who can administer daily pills and monthly chewies, which the shelter will provide. And it doesn't last forever--once testing negative, Shania will be heartworm free for good! A small speed bump to an otherwise healthy life!
