About Dima

Dima is a very sweet and loving male Maltese. He likes to play fetch and loves going for walks outside where he can meet new friends. He can be a bit shy around new people, but once he gets to know you he is the most loving dog out there. He is house trained and knows a few basic commands like sit, down, and stay. He does not suffer from separation anxiety, and does well in the home alone for up to 6 hours if put in a safe area of the home. Rarely barks, unless he sees another dog in the street and wants to say hi. He will do well with someone who is calm and patient, because he may not bond with the new owner right away. I would prefer a home without children, because he does not like to be chased or grabbed. Another dog in the home would be great, preferably a small breed. I need to re-home Dima because I am a student and unfortunately do not have the time to take care of him, but I am not in any rush to get him into a new home and so will be waiting until I find the perfect fit.
