About Nana

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Nana is a 6 year old Chihuahua who came to Fuzzy Pawz from a local shelter after being turned over as part of a large hoarding case. Nana is very calm, sweet and just a delight to be around. She will let you know when someone is at the door and barks when the other dogs in her foster home bark but is generally very low key. If left up to her she would spend most of the day reclining in her favorite spot in the corner of the couch on her blanket or in someone's lap. She answers well to her name and is very quick to learn new things with a little treat or a belly rub as her reward She is doing well with her house training but will need to be watched close for a while to make sure you and she are on the same page when she goes to a new home. She is also doing well with the crate training but if left up to her she would prefer to sleep in the bed with her humans. She has great house manners so a crate isn't necessary if you are okay with it. She is good on leash but does get nervous when she encounters people, other dogs, bikes, etc - she'd never been on leash before coming to us so as she grows more comfortable this should stop. Nana is good with other dogs but doesn't interact much with them. It is very obvious that she has had multiple litters of puppies so our guess is she just doesn't really care about other dogs. Nana has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and just had a dental removing most of her teeth. If you are looking for a new friend who enjoys cuddle time then Nana is your girl.
