Amazing dog! Lots of happy energy! Oliver was a 6 month old stray that followed me home when I was living in Buffalo, NY. Because I wasn't about to put a 'black Pit bull' into a Buffalo shelter, I've kept him for several years. I've since had a baby and moved three times. Oliver is a very special dog and this is the hardest decision I have ever made. I simply feel I am not what he needs and my heart is telling me he should have a better home with someone that can give him the attention he needs. Oliver has had two surgeries in the past year. First one was cruciate surgery (ACL repair) and a couple months ago, on the same knee, he had his meniscus repaired. He is recovering quite well and will be starting to take short walks here soon. Once he is completely healed, he would love to get back on trails and hike or go for long walks. He also has a food allergy and can't have ANY grain/wheat. He HAS to be on special food. Also, with this allergy he needs a bath once a week with a Chlorhexidine shampoo, or he smells and itches. Oliver is a very submissive and good-hearted dog. I have put many many hours of training into him. He responds wonderfully to voice commands and recall. With his energy it was necessary to make sure he was also trained well and obedient. All he wants to do is please and be apart of your life and feel loved. Seriously, he's like a little boy that just wants to be apart of your life and have you spend time with him. He's not a dog that can be left home all day alone and never walked. He is not destructive AT ALL, but it will break his spirit to not be with his humans. He gets depressed. I'd love to see him with someone that can devote to him quality time, patience, and lots of love.
