About Abby

Dear Miss Kathy, I am writing to tell you of the recent horrible events befalling me. After many long months of neglect, my family has thrown me out. I had so many flea bites that all my beautiful hair fell out. I didn't know what I would do! Thankfully a distant cousin invited me to stay in the country with her until I regain my health. Once I'm healed I will be looking for a new home. Please keep me in mind if you hear of any families looking for a friendly, sweet girl. Yours truly, Abby A note from Abby's cousin . . . Abby is a 5 - 6 years old GSD Mix. She is unsprayed and currently about 60 lbs. She will be spayed prior to adoption. She is being treated for severe flea dermatitis and an ear infection. She needs to gain some weight. Abby came from a very bad situation. She is very shy and tentative, but friendly once she gets to know you. She is house trained but does not appear to have had any other training. She walks on leash without pulling. I recommend basic obedience training once settled into her new home. Abby has been friendly with my GSD. She has a very high prey drive and cannot be with cats or small animals. Pending further evaluation, I recommend caution with small dogs. I have discovered that Abby like to tear up cardboard boxes. She likes her Kongs stuffed with peanut butter and treats, and she likes to chew hooves. Abby will be taking some quiet time to rest and recuperate. Once her lovely personality shines through, I will update on what type of home would be best for her.
