About Libby

Libby: 'ADOPTION PENDING' 2 year old, black and tan, spayed female, natural tail and ears, 15' 18 lbs. Shots up-to-date, micro-chipped. Rescued from shelter by a good Samaritan and then surrendered to IMPS Meet Libby! She's a super sweet, bright, active, fun, young girl that adores her people. If you are looking for a companion that wants nothing more than to play, play, play, cuddle a whole bunch, and then take you out for walks, then Libby is your girl. Even though Libby has had a history of being neglected before she was saved and released to IMPS care, it has not dampened her spirit. Every morning she wakes up and acts like this is the best day of her life. It is very contagious and a great way to start your day. Libby loves to play with toys, other dogs, toys that squeak, balls, tuggy toys...well any toy. She loves to go for a ride in the car, walks pretty well on a leash and is learning not to tug. Libby comes when asked, knows 'sit', and is great at 'catch'. She is learning 'off' so she will not jump on people and responds well to lots of praise when she sits and waits for attention. She is a very bright and eager student and would benefit from further training. Overnight, Libby will sleep quietly crated but she would much prefer to be snuggled under the covers with you (she is a great bed warmer). She is house-trained and expert at using the dog door. She enjoys her window spots; watching the world go by and letting you know when other dogs walk by. Libby loves being outside, basking in the sun, exploring and playing. We are looking for her forever home that understands that a young dog has much to learn and someone that will love her unconditionally. Someone that enjoys her spirit, her sense of fun and want to cuddle with her too. Her perfect home would have a yard to sun and play in and other dogs to play with and keep her company. No apartments or children under eight for this happy, very active and alive girl.
