About Sassy

Name: Sassy Sex: Female Breed: Pit Mix Age: 1 1/2 years old Weight: 35 lbs Good with: People, dogs and older kids. Not tested with cats Sassy came to us as she was very neglected by her former owners. She was found outside without food or water in TN. Due to her past she still keeps her tail tucked part of the time but is getting used to what life should be like for a dog who is loved and cared for. She will need to be fed separately from other dogs as she, understandably, may not want to share her meals. Sassy has gained 15 lbs while she has been in the care of her foster in TN. Sassy has been with kids, 11 and 13, and has done really well with them. A home with old kids is preferred as she tends to jump and may knock over little ones. She is a very energetic girl, who loves to play with ropes. She really enjoys affection and will be looking for a home where she can feel safe and loved.
