About Chacha

Meet Chacha! She is a 10year old, 10lb Yorkie that was owner surrendered with 3 other dogs. She was kept in a kennel for most of her life so is now learning how to enjoy the freedom and affection that normal dogs enjoy. So far she really likes it and is adapting very quickly to living large. She has already learned how to use steps to get on and off the bed. She is Heart Worm negative, microchipped and up to date on shots. She is a total snuggle bug and loves to be held or sit in your lap. She hasn't been tested with children. We are working on potty training when not outside by using training pads inside within a confined area and are confident that with a solid routine and positive reinforcement, she will make progress. She is not comfortable around cats. She can be defensive and will chase them if she has the chance. We would prefer she go to a home with another dog that is calm and laid back. She is used to being around other dogs and isn't anxious when left alone but she will do better if she has another dog to cuddle up with when her new family isn't home. She currently sleeps in an open kennel on a blanket but would love the opportunity to snuggle with her new owner. She is getting the hang of walking on a leash but so far she is prone to yank it out of your hand and walk herself, so you have to hold on tight when out with her.
