About Hannah

Hannah is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag. Once she gets a sudsy bath and grooming...she'll absolutely be one of the cutest girls around. At 12 - 24 months old and about 11 lbs ( once comfortable in her surroundings) Hannah is every bit the very happy and silly girl. She's fun and active....but at the same time she is a very well-intentioned girl who wants to give the best of herself. If given guidance and positive reinforcement, and if Hannah understands what you're asking, she always tries her hardest to comply. At this early point in her life, Hannah is searching for the loving and committed family she has never before found. In spite of the lack of love and nurturing in her life, Hannah has a positive attitude as if she knows an amazing forever home is waiting just around the corner. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Hannah to a family who expresses their devotion for her with love, nurturing and respect. We'd like Hannah to attend positive reinforcement group obedience classes to be the very best adult dog she's capable of being. Right now, Hannah is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved pup around. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of positive reinforcement trainers in your area. We'd like Hannah to find her place with dog-crazy and committed retirees who desire a fuzzy best friend in their lives. She would be overjoyed with time-spent and accompanying her family everywhere a small, well-behaved dog is welcome. A younger family that works part-time or from home with older children would also be just right for Hannah. Hannah is a very portable size and can easily be a take-along companion. Hannah would love nothing more than long walks (or even a hike would speak to Hannah's nature), trips to the store (she's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Hannah is young enough that she can be introduced to new situations...and if there is patience and gentle guidance, she can succeed. At the end of the day...for Hannah, there is nothing better than a welcoming lap. She'll snuggle up and show all the love that's inside of her. She's also a great foot-warmer for times when her favorite people are busy with other things. We've requested that Hannah be spayed prior to her arrival in Boulder. We're not optimistic that this will occur. If it doesn't, Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs at our Denver vet for Hannah's spay and microchip following her arrival in Colorado. Hannah appears to be a lightly shedding dog...although it's difficult to tell for certain until her sad shelter coat grows out. She will require a commitment to periodic baths/grooming along with great nutrition. A salmon oil supplement is a great choice for lifelong coat care and longevity to keep Hannah's coat cottony-soft and matt-free. Hannah will be arriving on transport in Boulder in mid-May (exact date will be updated when available).
