About Maggie

Adoption Fee: $295
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Maggie 4-5 year old lab/hound mix 35 pounds Maggie came to us from Alabama after spending several years in a shelter. She is a timid but sweet girl. Once she warms up to you, and it doesn't take long, she cannot get enough attention. She loves her humans. She will come seeking head rubs and belly rubs. She will jump up on the couch for a cuddle. She gets along well with her canine foster brothers and enjoys running and playing in the yard. She will also help you keep your yard chipmunk and rabbit free! She would do well in a home with another dog to show her the ropes or as an only dog with a family willing to give her lots of attention. She loves to go on walks and is learning to walk on a leash. After a romp outside or a good walk she is happy to curl up in a sunny spot or be your couch buddy while you watch tv. Maggie is housebroken and crate trained and sleeps through the night in her crate without a peep. She likes to chase cats so she would appreciate a cat free home to help her avoid temptations. Maggie is a bit of a contortionist and will need a new home with a solid fence or would need to be leashed at all times. Even though Maggie has thrived in her foster home, because of her 'sheltered' life, she can can be nervous of new things. She has gone through training at Woofbeach and has come a long way! Woofbeach trainers will work with her new family to help them continue her training. Maggie is a sweet girl who just wants to be loved. She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details.
