Dingo is a sweet, outgoing 4-year-old, who weighs a compact 14 lbs. and is likely a mix of Rat Terrier and Jack Russell. His owner went into a nursing home, and the family, not wanting to take care of Dingo, handed him over to a veterinarian. A tech at the vet's office knew that Dingo deserved a chance to find a loving family, so she took him in and contacted New Rattitude. Now in his foster home, Dingo is proving to be one well-behaved young man. He's house-trained and crate trained, and he has pretty good manners. He is mostly quiet indoors, only barking to let you know he hears someone outside. He also walks well on a leash and seems to really enjoy getting out into the neighborhood. Dingo gets along with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves to chase and wrestle with the playful 2-year-old resident male. (Dingo was an only dog for the first four years of his life, but his behavior indicates that he would probably prefer a home with other dogs.) Although Dingo is a bundle of energy, he does settle down in the house, but he's going to need an active family, who will include him in daily walks and playtime, preferably off leash in a fenced yard. He would also be a great candidate for agility or other dog sport.
