About Koffee

I am an elderly woman and was raised with hunting dogs. My husband and I have had dogs in our family for all but 2 our 3 years of our 59 yrs of married life. Roury, at 8 ys old, is the last of 6 border collie/aussie cross dogs we have had over the last 25 years. Being the youngest she is not used to being the only dog and has not adjusted well. We decided to get another dog, same general age and breeds or mixture. I found Koffee and liked him instantly. He is a beautiful dog. We had 2 visits with Koffee and, though he didn't seem too friendly with Roury, we decided to have a trial period to see if they would bond. Rouy was interested and friendly but Koffee seemed overwhelmed with the openness of our place, strange people, and another dog. He accepted Gus and I, was adjusting and seeking our company and affection. The only issue was with Roury. Koffee is intelligent, calm, friendly, playful, and very biddable. He was learning our house rules and obedience commands so willingly. He is kind, gentle, and well-mannered. After 2 wks it was obvious Roury and Koffee were not bonding and I was extremely saddened to have to give him up. Roury has my first love, loyalty, and consideration and Koffee deserves the same from his family. I know Koffee will be a loyal and loving companion to someone who wants 1 dog and gives him the respect, love and attention any pet needs. Quyen was very considerate of Gus and I, understood our situation and limits,, and worked with us to try to re-home Koffee. She was also very understanding and supportive of our decision to let him go. She loves him very much and wants so much to find the right home and family for him.
