About Jill

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Cattle Dog / Chihuahua
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Jill is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Jill is currently fostered in St. Petersburg, FL (Pinellas County). Jill is a 19 lb petite heeler/Chihuahua mix. Her medical records say she is 4, but we do think she could be a bit older. She is very active and playful when it comes to other dogs, but overall she is fairly low energy. Jill just wants to relax and cuddle with her person. She smiles when she gets in your lap or near you in the bed to cuddle. She does need daily walks but short, slow walks, and we will be having her evaluated by a vet for any potential orthopedic concerns that may be slowing her down. Jill likes to play with her toys by herself. You can throw them and she will chase a stuffed toy and throw it up and play with it for a bit but she doesn't like to play long nor will she bring it back. She does listen to basic commands and listens well. She has no guarding or aggression with toys or her food. Jill will be a great companion and offer all of her love. She does have sensitivity about having her neck touched, so she may have been mistreated in the past. If frightened she may nip, so she should not go to a home with young kids. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative. Jill's standard adoption donation is $250, but she can be adopted by a senior adopter 65+ for $150 through our Seniors for Seniors program.
